My Everest Base Camp Journey

The Everest Base Camp trek was truly one of the most extraordinary experiences of my life. As an amateur trekker, I knew it wouldn’t be easy, but I never imagined just how physically demanding and mentally challenging the journey would be. Yet, as with all things that truly matter, the difficulty only amplified the reward. Reaching Base Camp felt like achieving something profoundly meaningful—an adventure that will stay with me forever.
This accomplishment was only possible because of Mountain Sherpa Trekking, whose expertly crafted itinerary and thoughtful training guidance made all the difference. Their program was exceptionally well designed, balancing adventure with proper acclimatization, which allowed me to trek safely and confidently.
The journey took us through quieter, less-traveled Sherpa villages like Phortse (3,840 m / 12,598 ft), offering an authentic glimpse into local culture and daily life. We spent two nights in Namche Bazaar (3,440 m / 11,286 ft), the vibrant gateway to the Himalayas, allowing our bodies crucial time to adjust.
In Pangboche (3,985 m / 13,074 ft), we enjoyed two more nights, highlighted by an unforgettable day hike to Ama Dablam Base Camp (approx. 4,600 m / 15,092 ft)—an awe-inspiring experience beneath the towering elegance of Ama Dablam.
Further acclimatization came with two nights in Dingboche (4,410 m / 14,470 ft), where we completed a demanding but rewarding hike to Nagarjun Peak (approx. 5,100 m / 16,733 ft). Thanks to this careful ascent profile, I acclimated remarkably well and completed the entire trek without a single altitude-related issue.
Ultimately, standing at Everest Base Camp (5,364 m / 17,598 ft) was the culmination of every step, every challenge, and every moment of wonder along the way. In every sense, the journey was demanding, inspiring, and transformative. Thanks to Mountain Sherpa Trekking, what once seemed like an impossible dream became an extraordinary achievement.

Five Women, One Epic Adventure: Our Exceptional Everest Base Camp Trek Experience

We were a group of five women from the USA who signed up for the Everest Base Camp trek with Mountain Sherpa Trekking, and from the very beginning, the experience exceeded every expectation. We discovered the company online and reached out through email. To our surprise, Mr. Pasang Sherpa, the founder himself, responded promptly and thoroughly, providing clear details and an incredible all-inclusive package.
We decided on their 5-star hotel option, which turned out to be the perfect choice—especially after our long journey from the United States to Nepal. The hotel in Kathmandu was beautifully appointed, exceptionally comfortable, and centrally located, allowing us to relax and adjust before beginning our adventure.
During the trek, Mountain Sherpa Trekking took care of every detail with unmatched professionalism. Each lodge they arranged for us was clean, cozy, and among the best available along the route. Having attached bathrooms and hot showers included in the package felt like an absolute luxury in the Himalayas, and it made a huge difference in our comfort and recovery each day.
We are beyond happy that we chose Mountain Sherpa Trekking. Their outstanding service, thoughtful planning, and genuine care made our Everest Base Camp journey not just memorable, but exceptional.

The all-inclusive Everest Base Camp trek with Mountain Sherpa Trekking was extremely satisfying, as we received exactly what was promised. From luxury hotels in the city to the best lodges along the trek with attached bathrooms and hot showers, everything was perfectly arranged. Even drinking water and laundry services were provided throughout the trek. We are fully satisfied with the value we received and highly appreciate the excellent service. We also feel that the Everest Base Camp Trek cost listed on their website was not expensive when compared to the quality of service we received.

The Perfect Acclimatization: How Mountain Sherpa Trekking Made Our EBC Trek Smooth and Safe

By spending two nights in Namche Bazaar (3,440 m / 11,286 ft) and two nights in Pangboche (3,985 m / 13,074 ft)—including the incredible acclimatization hike to Ama Dablam Base Camp (approx. 4,600 m / 15,092 ft)—I felt remarkably strong and well-adjusted by the time I reached Dingboche (4,410 m / 14,470 ft). I didn’t feel any altitude-related discomfort at all; my body had already adapted beautifully thanks to this gradual and perfectly planned approach.
We chose Mountain Sherpa Trekking precisely because their itinerary includes this essential hike to Ama Dablam Base Camp. No other company offers such a thoughtful, effective acclimatization plan. Most itineraries are rushed, and along the way I noticed many trekkers beginning to struggle with altitude sickness as soon as they reached Dingboche.
Mountain Sherpa Trekking’s unique and carefully crafted itinerary made all the difference—allowing us to acclimatize safely, enjoy every step of the journey, and reach Everest Base Camp feeling strong, healthy, and confident.

A Once-in-a-Lifetime Everest Base Camp Trek with Mountain Sherpa Trekking

My Everest Base Camp trek with Mountain Sherpa Trekking became one of the greatest experiences of my life. From start to finish, the logistics were flawlessly organized, smooth, and stress-free. Our guide, PD Sherpa, was everything we could have hoped for—friendly, knowledgeable, incredibly helpful, and exceptionally responsible. We always felt safe, supported, and well taken care of.
One of the biggest advantages of choosing Mountain Sherpa Trekking was the convenience of flying directly from Kathmandu to Lukla. Thanks to Tandi, who arranged our flights, we avoided the long 5-hour drive to Manthali Airport that so many other trekkers had to endure before catching their Lukla flight. We felt very fortunate, and it made a huge difference in starting our trek fresh and energized. Booking our trek one year in advance truly paid off.

The food throughout the trek was surprisingly delicious, varied, and always prepared with care. Combined with the warm hospitality in every lodge, the entire experience felt far more comfortable than we expected. The views along the trail were absolutely magical—far beyond anything we had imagined. Every turn revealed landscapes that left us speechless.
We also deeply appreciated that Mountain Sherpa Trekking provides scholarships to 140 students in the Everest region, a gesture that reflects their integrity and commitment to their community. Despite offering a high-quality, all-inclusive package, their pricing was far more reasonable than many American companies, yet the service we received was exceptional from our arrival in Nepal to our final departure.
Overall, we highly recommend both the Everest Base Camp trek and Mountain Sherpa Trekking. Their professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail made this a once-in-a-lifetime adventure we’ll cherish forever.
