On a clear day, you'll fly into Kathmandu, where from the windows of the aircraft, you'll witness the breathtaking sight of snow-capped peaks glistening in the sunlight. This awe-inspiring view sets the tone for our unforgettable journey ahead. Upon landing at Tribhuvan International Airport, a representative from Mountain Sherpa Trekking and Expeditions will be there to greet you and escort you to your hotel. They'll assist with check-in, and once you've settled into your chosen accommodation and freshened up, we'll gather for a brief overview of our daily activities. The remainder of the day is yours to explore and acclimate to your surroundings. In the evening, we'll convene with our senior climbing Sherpa guide, who will provide essential information about our upcoming expedition. Enjoy your overnight stay at the hotel.

Today, after a restful night's sleep at one of Kathmandu's luxury hotels, you'll kick off your day with an American-style breakfast. Then, our guide and tour guide will pick you up for a half-day tour of Kathmandu city. The tour includes a visit to the Monkey Temple, also known as Swayambhunath, followed by exploration of UNESCO World Heritage sites, including Durbar Square. Here, you'll be captivated by attractions such as Hanuman Dhoka Palace and Kumari Ghar, home to the Living Goddess - Kumari. You'll also have the opportunity to visit numerous temples in Kathmandu Durbar Square. Afterward, we'll proceed to Boudhanath, one of the world's largest stupas, where you'll enjoy a lunch break at a rooftop restaurant. Following the tour, you'll return to the hotel to check your gear. Our Sherpa climbing guide will assist you in checking your climbing gear, and if necessary, you can purchase any additional items at Thamel, where our guide will be available to help.

Start your day with a hearty buffet breakfast at the hotel, fueling up before we set out on a picturesque drive heading westward to the starting point of our trek. Accompanied by our experienced Sherpa guide and team, we'll journey for approximately 3 hours until we reach the quaint settlement of Mugling, where we'll make a pit stop for an early lunch at a roadside restaurant. Continuing our expedition, we'll make our way to the charming town of Dumre, nestled beside the Marsyangdi River. The scenic drive spans about 185 km and takes roughly 6 hours from Kathmandu to reach Besisahar.

As we traverse the route, soak in the breathtaking scenery, and upon reaching Besisahar, marvel at the majestic snow-capped peaks of Lamjung Himal that adorn the landscape. For those seeking an extra adventure, we also have the option to extend our journey to Ngadi village on the same day, utilizing a local Jeep.

After enjoying breakfast at the lodge in Besisahar, we begin our day with a scenic drive to Chame from Besisahar by jeep. Covering a distance of approximately 67 kilometers, this journey typically takes 6 to 7 hours, allowing ample time to take in the breathtaking views. As we navigate the winding roads, you'll be captivated by the picturesque landscapes unfolding before you, with river crossings and charming villages punctuating the route. While the journey promises awe-inspiring vistas, it's important to note that certain sections of the road may be a bit rugged. Along the way, we'll pass through enchanting locales such as Syange, Chamje, Jagat, and Tal, each offering its own unique charm. Rest assured, we'll provide you with a highly skilled local driver to ensure a safe and comfortable journey throughout.

After a peaceful night in the pine-scented air of Chame, your morning begins with a warm breakfast served around 7:00 AM—though your guide is always happy to adjust to your pace. With your bags packed and spirits high, the journey toward Upper Pisang begins.

The trail gently climbs along the Marsyangdi River, weaving between forests and cliff faces. Soon, you pass through Bhratang, a village embraced by sheer rock walls and apple orchards. As you continue, the valley broadens, revealing sweeping vistas of Annapurna II, Lamjung Himal, and even distant Manaslu.

The terrain rises gradually, allowing you to savor each step without strain, and every turn offers a new frame of Himalayan beauty. Prayer wheels, suspension bridges, and small settlements decorate your path until the final ascent brings you to Upper Pisang—perched high on a ridge with one of the most rewarding panoramas on the Annapurna Circuit.

Upper Pisang’s traditional stone houses and fluttering prayer flags welcome you to a quiet mountain haven. Here, the views of Annapurna and Gangapurna seem almost unreal, especially at sunset when the peaks glow gold and crimson. Spend the evening enjoying hearty Himalayan hospitality at the best available lodge, surrounded by silence, stars, and sacred mountains.

Your day begins with crisp mountain air and a nourishing breakfast before you follow your Sherpa guide onto one of the most celebrated high trails of the Annapurna Circuit. Leaving Upper Pisang behind, the path rises steadily toward Ghyaru (3,670m/12,040ft), a beautifully preserved Tibetan-influenced village balanced above the valley. The ascent is demanding, but the views are nothing short of legendary—Annapurna II, III, IV, and the majestic Tilicho Peak rise sharply across the horizon, as though carved from crystal.

The ancient stone pathways, lined with chortens and prayer walls, guide you through villages that feel frozen in time. Children run past with shy smiles, monks chant in distant monasteries, and yaks graze peacefully in terraced fields. This higher route is more strenuous than the lower trail, but it is an invaluable acclimatization gain—your body adjusts naturally as you move deeper into the highlands.

Arriving in Ngawal is like stepping into a serene Himalayan sanctuary. The village is adorned with vibrant prayer flags, traditional homes, and wide-open views stretching across the Annapurna range. It’s a tranquil place to rest, reflect, and prepare for the higher adventures waiting ahead on the trail.

With the morning sun lighting up the rooftops of Ngawal, you begin a gentle descent after breakfast. The trail winds through open meadows where dry stone walls, roaming yaks, and scattered juniper bushes paint a tranquil alpine scene. As you lose elevation gradually, the giant faces of Gangapurna, Chulu, and Annapurna III keep constant watch over your journey.

After roughly three relaxed hours, the valley widens and the village of Manang appears—a cultural crossroads of Tibetan heritage, monasteries, and centuries-old traditions. Upon arrival, you settle into your lodge and enjoy a warm lunch.

The afternoon is dedicated to acclimatization. Your Sherpa guide will lead you on a light hike, helping your body adapt to the thinning air while offering insights into the local lifestyle, rituals, and geography. The evening in Manang is peaceful, filled with prayer flags fluttering in the wind and the distant sound of bells from nearby monasteries.

Outside your lodge, the crisp Himalayan breeze and towering peaks set the scene for an important acclimatization day. Under the care of your seasoned Sherpa guide—whose decades of experience ensure your safety—you head out for a rewarding high-altitude hike.

You may choose to explore Gangapurna Glacier, where the turquoise lake and looming ice walls create a dramatic, unforgettable landscape. Or ascend toward Praken Gompa, perched high above the valley, where monks live in solitude and the entire Annapurna range unfolds below you like a living mural.

Feeling energized? Both hikes can be done for those who want to make the most of their acclimatization. Throughout the day, your guide monitors your pace and comfort while sharing stories about the region, Buddhist culture, and the unique ways of life in Manang.

The evening brings another cozy night in the lodge—perfect for rest, warm meals, and preparation for the heights ahead.

After an early breakfast at your lodge in Manang, your experienced Sherpa guide will lead you on one of the most rewarding acclimatization hikes in the Annapurna region—the spectacular ascent to Ice Lake (Kicho Tal). This full-day hike is longer and more demanding than the previous acclimatization options, but the rewards are extraordinary. The trail climbs steeply above Manang, passing through yak pastures, juniper bushes, and high-altitude desert landscapes. As you ascend, the panoramic views widen with every step—revealing breathtaking perspectives of Gangapurna, Annapurna II, III, and IV, Tilicho Peak, and the sweeping Manang Valley far below.

Reaching Ice Lake at 4,620 meters (15,157 feet) offers exceptional altitude gain, making it one of the most effective acclimatization hikes before moving toward higher elevations—especially crucial for your Chulu West Peak climb. At the lake, you’ll be welcomed by a tranquil turquoise pool set beneath dramatic rock walls and glaciated summits, creating a truly unforgettable Himalayan setting. After spending time enjoying the scenery and allowing your body to adjust naturally to the altitude, you’ll descend back to Manang for a warm meal and a well-deserved rest.

After two restorative nights in Manang, your journey continues toward higher alpine terrain. Leaving the greenery behind, the trail climbs gradually along the Marsyangdi River, where the air grows cooler and the forests give way to wild meadows.

Crossing the Jharsang Khola, you enter a quieter, more remote stretch of the circuit. The landscape spreads out into wide pastures dotted with junipers and grazing animals—true high-Himalayan scenery. The steady ascent helps your body adapt naturally to the increasing altitude.

By midday, you reach Yak Kharka, a calm grazing settlement surrounded by sweeping views of Annapurna and Gangapurna. This peaceful stop is ideal for preparing your body for the next big section of the circuit. The afternoon is relaxed—rest, hydrate, and enjoy the serenity of this high mountain plateau.

After a hearty breakfast at Yak Kharka, we set off on our trek to Chulu West Base Camp. The journey spans roughly 5 hours of trekking through stunning landscapes. Along the way, we're treated to breathtaking views of the Annapurna Himalayas, inspiring awe with their majestic beauty.

Traversing challenging trails, we immerse ourselves in the raw wilderness of the Himalayas, greeted by panoramic vistas of snow-capped peaks and pristine valleys. Finally, we arrive at Chulu West Base Camp, situated at an altitude of 4,900 meters (16,076 feet) above sea level.

Here, amidst the rugged terrain and towering peaks, we're enveloped in the serene beauty of our surroundings. The base camp provides an ideal vantage point to admire the magnificent scenery of the Annapurna Himalayas, leaving an indelible mark on our memories.

As the day comes to an end, we settle into our tented camp at Chulu West Base Camp, surrounded by the tranquil ambiance of the mountains. Underneath the twinkling stars and towering peaks, we reflect on the day's journey and eagerly anticipate the adventures that await us. Tonight, we rest under the vast expanse of the Himalayan sky, ready to embrace the wonders of the days ahead.

Today, we will be enjoying an additional rest day at Chulu West Base Camp, allowing us ample time to acclimatize effectively. This crucial day of rest will significantly enhance our readiness before ascending to the high camp. As you are aware, proper acclimatization is paramount for any successful climb in Nepal. Our seasoned guide, boasting over 20 years of experience in climbing, will provide us with invaluable training and instructions at the base camp. This additional day spent at Chulu West Base Camp will ensure that we are well-prepared for the challenges ahead. We will be staying overnight at the base camp, further optimizing our acclimatization process.

Today, we continue our ascent towards the High Camp, nestled at an elevation of approximately 5,300 meters (17,388 feet). Along the way, we are treated to breathtaking vistas of towering peaks that captivate the eye. Upon reaching the High Camp, our seasoned Sherpa climbing guide, equipped with expert knowledge and experience, will lead us through essential climbing practices and provide a thorough briefing on the necessary gear and equipment. After diligently setting up our High Camp, we will conclude our day's trek, covering a duration of approximately 4 to 5 hours on foot. As night falls, we will rest at the High Camp, readying ourselves for the challenges and exhilaration that await us in the days ahead.

Today is our summit day, and we're up before dawn, prepared for a challenging but rewarding journey ahead. With every step along the icy high-altitude trail, we're captivated by the stunning vistas of the towering Himalayas. Despite the rugged terrain of rocks and frozen ice, we persevere, steadily making our way to the summit of Chulu West Peak at 6,419 meters/ 21,055 feet. At the top, we're treated to breathtaking views of the Annapurna Massif, Lamjung Himal, Himlung Himal, Dhaulagiri Range, and more. After soaking in the majesty of the surroundings, we carefully descend back to the Base camp. Throughout the expedition, our expert Sherpa guide ensures our safety and enjoyment, providing support and guidance every step of the way. With their expertise and Sherpa spirit, we embark on a safe, enjoyable, and unforgettable adventure.

From Base Camp, our return path descends all the way to Leder. While descending, we enjoy the panoramic views of the Annapurnas and other peaks. From Letdar we will continue to climb along the east bank of the Jarang Khola to Thorung Phedi, a rock-strewn meadow surrounded by vertical cliffs at 4,450 meter. Blue sheep and even snow leopards can be sometimes seen in this valley. High in the skies above us we can see lammergeyers and Himalayan griffons circling around (3-4 hrs). We make our overnight stay at Throngphedi and celebrate the summiting of Chulu West Peak. (B, L, D)

Today's trek begins before sunrise, around 4:00 AM, aiming to reach the pass by 9:00 or 10:00 AM at the latest to avoid weather-related challenges. The pass, Thorung La, stands at an altitude of 5,416 meters and offers breathtaking views of the Annapurna range, Gangapurna, and Khatung Kang. Despite the steep terrain, the trail is well-defined, used for centuries by locals herding sheep and yaks. Snow can block the pass unexpectedly, making timing crucial. Upon reaching the pass, marked by traditional prayer flags and a stone cairn, a teashop awaits, providing much-needed refreshment at this high altitude. The descent from the pass involves a drop of approximately 1,600 meters, offering stunning vistas of Dhaulagiri mountain in the distance. As the trail levels out, we traverse grassy fields and meadows before reaching our final destination, Muktinath. Muktinath, meaning "place of Nirvana," is home to the sacred Muktinath temple and several monasteries, revered by both Hindus and Buddhists. The temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, features 108 waterspouts and is believed to alleviate sorrows. Nearby, the JwalaMai Temple houses a perpetual flame fueled by natural gas. The entire journey spans 8 to 10 hours, offering spiritual enrichment amidst awe-inspiring natural beauty.

After breakfast, you begin your scenic drive from Muktinath toward Pokhara. The journey descends through the beautiful Mustang region, passing iconic villages such as Kagbeni, Jomsom, Marpha, Kalopani, and Beni, before entering the lush mid-hill landscapes of the Myagdi and Kaski districts.

The road from Muktinath to Pokhara is now in very good condition, making the ride smooth and comfortable. Along the way, you’ll enjoy stunning views of rugged cliffs, apple orchards, traditional stone villages, snow-capped peaks, and river valleys carved by the Kali Gandaki River.

The total drive takes approximately 7 to 8 hours, depending on road conditions and stops for photos, meals, or breaks. By late afternoon or early evening, you arrive in Pokhara, the beautiful lake city known for its relaxing atmosphere and panoramic mountain views.

Today, you will enjoy a well-deserved rest in Pokhara after completing your challenging trek and successful ascent.
