Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek: A 5-Day Adventure through Annapurna's Beauty and Culture, Ending with Tranquil Bliss in Pokhara.
On the first day of your Poon Hill trek, we will hike from KLlu to Ghandruk village, which will take approximately 4-5 hours. Ghandruk village is located at an altitude of approximately 1,940 meters (6,365 feet) above sea level.
The second day of your trek will take you from Ghandruk to Tadapani, a journey lasting about 4-5 hours. Tadapani is situated at an altitude of approximately 2,630 meters (8,628 feet) above sea level.
On the third day, trek from Tadapani to Ghorepani. Ghorepani is located at around 2,874 meters (9,429 feet). The distance between Tadapani and Ghorepani is approximately 9 to 10 kilometers (about 5.6 to 6.2 miles). The trekking duration can vary depending on individual walking pace, but it typically takes around 6-7 hours to cover this distance.
On the fourth day, trek to Poon Hill from Ghorepani, which usually takes about 1 to 1.5 hours. The duration may vary based on your fitness level and pace. Once you reach the top of Poon Hill, you'll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the sunrise over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges. The sight includes peaks like Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Machapuchare (Fishtail), and Dhaulagiri.
After experiencing the beauty of Poon Hill, return to the lodge and trek to Ulleri. Ulleri village is situated at about 2,070 meters (6,791 feet), and the distance from Ghorepani to Ulleri on the trekking trail is approximately 8 to 9 kilometers (about 5 to 5.6 miles). The trekking duration can vary depending on individual walking pace; it typically takes around 5 to 6 hours to cover this distance.
On the fifth day, we will drive to Pokhara by private jeep from Ulleri. Enjoy relaxation and comfort at a hotel, indulge in a one-hour Ayurvedic massage, take a boat ride on Fewa Lake, explore Lakeside, and savor delicious meals at local restaurants.
