It is so hard to pick a trekking company over the internet, and to trust that the one you pick and pay a deposit to is legitimate. I knocked it out of the park with this one. Mountain Sherpa Trekking & Expeditions was not only legit, they were consummate professionals, tending to every detail of my trip so I would be safe, cared for, and a happy customer. They surpassed their goal. I was ecstatic! My daughter and I trekked from Pokhara to Poon Hill and were awed in every step. As a student group from Norway, we booked our whole stay in Nepal with Mountain Sherpa Trekking. They organized transport, most of the meals, and organized and guided us to attractions and study related visits to hydropower plants, Hydro lab etc. Our trip started with sightseeing in Kathmandu. Then we went to Kathmandu University in Dulikhel, to Chitwan national park on safari, further to Butwal (we did not stay the night here) and Tansen, and then to Pokhara for rafting and relaxation. My experience with the company has been very positive. They were helpful, found nice hotels and high standard restaurants for us to eat. At the end of our stay, five of us were going to take a flight from Pokhara to Kathmandu, before the long journey back home. The domestic flight was cancelled because of rain and some thunder. However, Mountain Sherpa Trekking came and picked us up in a minibus, so we made it to Kathmandu in time. We were relieved that the guides was updated on the flight cancellation, and we did not have to do anything. I was very happy with our guide and Nepal experience. I found these websites and I decided to try this company. Just one week before the trek, I got a message that two persons from Canada had to postpone their trek, so I had to do this trek by myself. It was my first trip to Nepal, so I was a little bit worried, because I travelled alone. Well, I arrived to Kathmandu and met Pasang and Sumba. After meeting them, I was sure, everything goes fine. I spent 17 days Everest base camp trekking & island Peak climb with the guide, Phurba Sherpa, and the porter, Dorje Sherpa. I really enjoyed that time. After 14 days I climbed to the summit of Island Peak with Purpha. It was my first climbing experience, but not the last one. I will always remember those awesome views and that great feeling. My Friend and I are leaving Nepal tomorrow after a truly Wonderful Experience we have had since we arrived to Kathmandu on December 19th 2005. Our Trekking Was Organized by Mountain Sherpa Trekking & Expeditions P.LTD (MSTE), run by Mr. Pasang Sherpa and his Brother. We have enjoyed our Stay in Nepal. Thanks a lot to their Professionalism, Organizational Skills and not in least their willingness to meet our Specific Needs. We Did 9 days Jomsom Trek That we immensely enjoyed having Wonderful, memorable pleasant and above all helpful and Cheerful Guide Sumba and Strong Porter who also was a source of information and added to the general moment and relaxed atmosphere. The Lodges in whole Trek that we stayed in were neat and Clean and provided Surprisingly good food. Our Guide made sure that we got good rooms and were served good food on time, also provided us with extra Blankets! Mr. Pasang Sherpa was very flexible and helpful in accommodating our individual needs such as Extra days of rest and shopping here in Kathmandu and the trek itinerary. His trekking plan Itinerary was perfect. He addressed all our questions and concerns in a timely professional manner. I am already thinking of coming back soon to do whole Annapurna Circuit Trek. To Whom It May Concern I found this Company on the Internet. They are great! Everything they said they would do, they did!! Guide and Porter are Excellent. Accommodation and foods also best.
