My wife and I and our two adult children travelled for a month in Nepal with Mountain Sherpa Trekking in the fall of 2008. It was the holiday of a lifetime. Once we had decided to go with Mountain Sherpa Trekking all our questions and concerns were responded to by Pasang with dispatch. They seemed very professional and they proved to be that and more. We were treated like kings like visiting dignitaries. Family could not have treated us better. Upon our arrival we were garlanded with marigolds upon our departure silk scarves were draped around our necks. Private mini-buses took us to and from our various connections (we trekked the Annapurna Circuit visited Beni Pokhara and the Chitwan Jungle Reserve). And when we decided to alter our plans somewhat the necessary bus tickets were delivered to our hotel door. We hired a guide and two porters who became like family. Our well-being and satisfaction was their daily concern. When we had a minor problem we just said to Dorji our guide what can we do about this. And he would make the necessary arrangements. It was worry-free travel.A five-star recommendation.
I've made it to London and thought I should write and thank you all for making my trip to Nepal such a wonderful experience. The trek especially was one of the most memorable times of my life. I experienced and learnt so much from the amazing people of the Himalayan region. For those who are still undecided as to which company to choose for your trek, then look no further. I can highly recommend Mountain Sherpa Trekking & Expedition as an excellent company to cater for all your trekking needs. I went trekking during March 2006 by myself and Pasang was very professional in drawing up a personal trek plan for me. His price was competitive and email correspondence prior to the trek was outstanding. I had responses to all my concerns and questions within 24 hours. He was also very flexible to catering for my requests for changes to the trekking itinerary. During the trek my guide was Sumba Sherpa. He is really the most honest and fantastic guide to spend your trek with. His English is very good and he is extremely helpful and knows the region well. He is young and the thing is, he actually enjoys trekking and taking clients out to see the Himalayas. This is important as I meet many other guides who seem to find it boring. Compared to other international companies the price you will get from Mountain Sherpa Trekking & Expedition will often be about half! Yet, the level of service and experience you get is equal to if not better. I saw many other international companies during my trek and they are all the same expecting for the name and price! Again, I cannot recommend Mountain Sherpa Trekking & Expedition enough. They are really a wonderful Team run company Group of Mountain Sherpa Guides and will provided you with a personalized and professional experience. We used your Mountain Sherpa Trekking and Expeditions service for our ABC trek last November. It has been a wonderful experience. I must say that our group left Nepal and our friends with a heavy heart. The scenery, the friendly villagers; and your professional yet friendly guide and porters made our trip a memorable one. The majesty of the snow peaks, the sunrise and sunsets against those beautiful peaks and the crisp fresh air for two weeks were just awesome. We enjoyed the selection of the various guesthouses too and especially the often-repeated menu, it made us laugh. We can practically order our food without looking at them after a few days but we do enjoy that too. As Malaysians, we were very happy to find noodles and rice on the mountains! Your guide (Phurba Sherpa) and the porters (Kaji Karki and Yogen Limbu) were fun to be with. They were caring, professional and above all, they were enthusiastic about the whole adventure. It made a lot of difference to our experience on this beautiful mountain trek. I do look forward to seeing Nepal again soon. Thanks
Our trip was booked through and arranged by the fine people at Mountain Sherpa Trekking & Expeditions. Our itinerary included 3 days in and around Kathmandu, the 6 day trek, 2 days rafting on the Seti river and 3 days on an elephant safari in Chitwan national park - all highly recommended. Mr Pasang Sherpa made all the arrangements and Mr Sumba Sherpa looked after us faultlessly for the two and a half weeks of our stay. We highly recommend this tour for all who wants to see Nepal well. Our guide, Sumba taught us all manner of things about life in Nepal and showed us some incredible sights so it was only fair that we should in turn pass on some invaluable knowledge to him. During the many chats we had while Anne and Kevin toiled (and Sumba skipped) up hills and down dales, Sumba let it slip that, in addition to speaking excellent English, he also spoke a little French. Nepal is a popular destination for our European neighbors and, if you want business as a guide, you need to speak the lingo. As it turned out Sumba spoke really rather good French but he was unaware of the most important communication tool in the French language. So, without further ado, we launched into Gallic Shrugging lessons. A very quick learner, Sumba was soon a shrugging master. By the end of the trek we were a fair bit fitter, in awe of the Nepalese great outdoors, charmed by the Nepalese people and, if truth be told, a bit smelly. Would we have changed anything? No. Would we do it again? Yes indeed. Maybe in spring when the rhododendron forests are in bloom. Would we recommend it to others? Absolutely and without hesitation. Best regards,
In 2006 we had a wonderful Everest trek organized by Mountain Sherpa Trekking & Expeditions. In 2013 October I could return with a group of 13 people, and this time we choose the same company. And indeed, we had an excellent holiday again, this time with cultural sightseeing. All the group members enjoyed very much the excursions to the Chitwan National Park, Pokhara, Nagarkot, and the ancient cities of Patan and Bakhtapur. We stayed in good hotels worth for the price, especially the resort in Chitwan was excellent. We enjoyed the kind guidance of Sumba and Pasang, thanks for taking the time for being our tour guide! For sure I will recommend the team of Mountain Sherpa Trekking to all of the people who would like to visit Nepal, either for trekking or for just having a nice time in this beautiful country. I also hope that I will be able to return one day!
