Dear Mr. Pasang, Be it our replying our online inquiries or selecting the services or staff for us, Mister Pasang Sherpa was very professional, but always in a friendly and helpful way, never impersonal. Our guide Dhan Bahadur Rai showed himself to have a vast experience in guiding. Also our porter Dasharaht Rai was very helpful and friendly. We always felt taken care of and successfully completed our Manaslu and Annapurna trek. The service was really high quality as promised to us before the booking, everything went perfectly smooth and we had a wonderful time. Dear Pasang / Tandi, Namaste. I would just like to extend my appreciation for the assistance and warm accommodation during our stay there in Nepal. Both Pemba and Dorji were courteous and very good to us during our trek in the Himalayas. And of course, Tandi when we're in Kathmandu. I am still absorbing the great experience. My wife considers it her best conquered challenge so far. Anyway, I'm thinking of going back to the Himalayas in a few years time; maybe do the high passes from Loubuche to Cho-La to Gokyo, of course with Mountain Sherpa. Hopefully in spring of 2017. To Whom It May Concern I have been to Nepal 4 times now (and will be going back). Most recently returning April 2006. The last 2 occasions have been with Mountain Sherpa Trekking and Expeditions (MSTE). Two years ago I went trekking up to Island Peak with Tandi Sherpa, who I found to be a warm, genuine and honest man. A man who I would be proud to call brother. He made me feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble. All arrangements were smooth and efficient. More recently I trekked for 21 days to both Island Peak and Mera Peak organised by MST and Tandi/Pasang. The price was fair (and I could change my requirements to reduce if needed). Trekking was absolutely incredible a great antidote to hectic western lifestyles. Again arrangements were flawless (even during the strikes) and every eventuality was planned for. I have nothing but praise for Tandi and his team. The climbing guide organized on the recent trip (Tendi) was another star. He got me up the steeper than anticipated ice-wall near the summit. he was so encouraging and patient. That was my first real technical climbing and what a way to start. When I do go back (and it can’t be soon enough) I will be traveling with Mountain Sherpa Trekking and expeditions. Peter Barron UK
I found these websites and I decided to try this company. Just one week before the trek, I got a message, that two persons from Canada had to postpone their trek, so I had to do this trek by myself. It was my first trip to Nepal, so I was a little bit worried, because I travelled alone. Well, I arrived to Kathmandu and met Pasang and Sumba. After meeting them, I was sure, everything goes fine. I spent 17 days trekking with the guide, Phurba Sherpa, and the porter, Dorje Sherpa. I really enjoyed that time. After 14 days I climbed to the summit of Island Peak with Burpha. It was my first climbing experience, but not the last one. I will always remember those awesome views and that great feeling. Phurba, Dorje, Pasang and Sumba, I would like to thank you so much. October 17, 2007 Months ago, I made plans through Mountain Sherpa Trekking for their Classic Gokyo Ri-Chola Pass-Everest Base Camp itinerary. My goal was to see how the Sherpa live. Two weeks ago, I returned home after spending thirty days in Nepal. Twenty-six of those days were spent completing my Himalayan trek and seeing a country and culture I had not yet experienced. I made this journey to Asia alone, but returned with two close friendships I hope never to lose. Mountain Sherpa Trekking provided me with more than just a guide and porter. Pasang and Ngima became like sons to me and what the three of us experienced together will never be forgotten. Pasang and Ngima talked about their families explained their culture, customs and religious beliefs. I returned home with a part of Nepal forever. I truly believe had I traveled in a group, my experiences would not have been as rich. I not only saw how Sherpa live, I took part. Physically, without their help, I would not have been able to complete the trek. We spent ten days traveling through the jungle from Jiri to Namche Bazaar. Had I been at home, I never would have been out hiking in those same conditions. The entire trek was incredibly memorable, but standing on Gokyo Peak with Pasang and Ngima were truly the highlight of my trip. The scenery was breathtaking but unparalleled to the intense feelings I experienced on that peak. Of all the trekking groups I encountered once we reached Namche Bazaar, I truly believe, I was with the 'best of the best in all ways that mattered. Mountain Sherpa Trekking & Expeditions provided me more than I could possibly have imagined. I was treated as family, and that is not easy to find. I look forward to returning next year to Nepal, and I highly recommend anyone thinking of traveling to Nepal, either as a group or solo, to travel with Mountain Sherpa Trekking.
