Manaslu Mountain is the eighth highest mountain and is located in the remote area of Nepal. This trekking route passes through lush green vegetation, remote villages, streams, rivers, and amazing views of mountains. 1. Weather Condition

The walking days are normally sunny and warm but the nights are freezing cold. Hence, you need to pack up warm clothes for the freezing cold nights. Trekking to Mount Manaslu is less common during the summer season because of the heavy rainfall. The trekking route becomes muddy, slippery, and full of leeches, which causes much more difficulties.

2. Altitude sickness

The lowest point of the trek is Seti Khola which is situated at the height of 700m while the highest point called the base camp of Mount Manaslu is at 5,106 meters known as the Larkya Pass. The higher the altitude, the higher the risk of getting sickness.
The common symptoms of Altitude Sickness are a headache, loss of appetite, fatigue, etc. You need to take proper rest even if you feel a little sick. The best way to skip the acute mountain sickness is resting and acclimatizing properly.

Manaslu trek takes you through a varied landscape. The lowest point of the trek is located at the altitude of 710 meters known as Seti Khola and the highest point is at 5213 meters known as the Larkya Pass.
The total distance of the Manaslu circuit trek is around 177 KM and lies in the northern Himalayan range of Nepal. This trekking expedition consists of a 15-20 KM walk every day for around 10-12 days while there are some days for resting and acclimatizing as per the itinerary.
The initial walking days feel a bit difficult, as one needs to walk uphill and downhill. There are some places where there are no suspension bridges and you need to cross the thrilling river via the temporary wooden bridges.

The duration of Manaslu Trek depends upon the package you choose. The trekking duration ranges from two weeks to three weeks and goes up to a month either.
You can reduce and increase the number of days at your convenience. You need to walk for around 6 to 8 hours every day except for the resting and acclimatization days. Walking can be tough for your body if you are not a regular walker.
This trekking route passes through a number of villages, forests, suspension bridges, rivers, and so on. Hence, it is important to train yourself by walking or trekking for about 3 to 4 hours every day at your home place before going for the actual trekking. You can speed walk on the stairs if there is no hiking place around your area. You need to focus on building stamina and preparing yourself for the higher altitude before going for Manaslu Trekking.
Training is the best method to keep you fit during the trekking expedition. It will help you adjust your body easily at higher altitudes and also reduce the muscles strain. Training will also help you to be fit both physically and mentally during the trekking journey. Hence, it is recommended to train you at least for a month before going for Manaslu Trek.

You need to have good cardiovascular fitness for Manaslu Trek. It helps and boosts the ability of your lungs and heart to supply oxygen-rich blood cells to the muscles. The oxygen level in the air goes thinner as you reach the higher level.
Hence, you need to build good cardiovascular fitness so that your body can cope with the decrease in the level of oxygen. You can go swimming, cycling, running, fast walking, and jogging to enhance your cardiovascular fitness.
Strength is the major factor, which will determine whether you can complete the trek, or not. As you need to walk for a number of hours every day with a backpack on your back, you need to have good strength in your arms, shoulders, and back.
The strength of your leg will be the key to completing the trek in time. Hence, your training should include exercises, which can strengthen your leg muscles. You can go to the gym and do exercises like weight squats, leg presses, and bodyweight squats.
