Our Luxury upper mustang trek is so exotic and dramatic. Its mystic essence can't be articulated. Mustang region of Nepal is situated in the far north of Nepal beyond the mountains giants of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna, and extending into the highlands of Tibet.
We are now offering our Luxury Mustang Trek on a fly-in, drive-out basis. You’ll fly to Jomsom and then travel by private jeep to most locations. This provides a comfortable and efficient way to explore Upper Mustang and Lo-Manthang.
Over the 13 days of this itinerary, you will discover the city life in Kathmandu, take a one hour magical Everest view flight over the world renowned Everest, explore the beauty of Pokhara, and traverse the region of Mustang, trekking valleys and villages, rivers and gorges.The remote and mysterious region of Mustang offers wonderful cultural experience. Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you'll be greeted by our Sherpa guide and transferred to your 5-star hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day relaxing or exploring the vibrant city of Kathmandu at your leisure.
After breakfast, enjoy a half-day city tour visiting Boudhanath Stupa and Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu. Later, you will take a scenic flight to Pokhara, where you'll stay in a 5-star hotel. Spend the evening exploring the tranquil lakeside or simply relax and enjoy the scenic beauty of the city.
After a scenic flight to Jomsom, explore the serene Dhumba Lake and the charming Marpha Village, known for its traditional apple orchards and rich Tibetan culture.
Dhumba Lake, located at an altitude of 2,830 meters in the Mustang district, lies about 5.5 km west of Jomsom near Thini village. You can either drive or trek, based on your preference. The lake offers pristine beauty and a tranquil environment, perfect for a peaceful retreat.
After visiting the lake, you'll explore the picturesque Marpha Village, renowned for its charming stone streets and traditional apple orchards. Take time to shop for local handicrafts or simply enjoy the village's serene ambiance. You'll also savor an authentic Thakali lunch in Marpha, making the experience truly memorable.
After enjoying a delightful breakfast with stunning views in Jomsom (2,743m/8,999ft), you’ll embark on a scenic drive to Muktinath (3,800m/12,467ft), a sacred pilgrimage site. The journey offers breathtaking views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. The elevation gain is 1,057 meters (3,468 feet), and the drive will take approximately 2 hours.
After a peaceful visit to Muktinath, you'll drive to Samsar, a beautiful village nestled in the Upper Mustang region. This scenic journey offers stunning landscapes as you descend 100 meters (328 feet) in elevation. The drive provides a glimpse into the rugged beauty of Mustang and its unique culture.
Today, you’ll embark on a scenic drive from Samsar to Lo-Manthang, gaining an elevation of 140 meters (459 feet). This journey takes you through breathtaking landscapes and offers captivating views of the surrounding hills and valleys. As you approach Lo-Manthang, you'll experience the rich culture and history of this ancient capital of the Mustang region.
Today, immerse yourself in the enchanting town of Lo-Manthang. Known as the ancient capital of the Mustang region, Lo-Manthang offers a unique blend of history and culture. Explore the Lo-Manthang Palace, where you can learn about the region's royal past, and visit the Thubchen Monastery, famous for its intricate murals and serene atmosphere.

Kagbeni, situated at the confluence of the Kali Gandaki and Jhong rivers, is known for its charming medieval architecture and vibrant culture. Upon arrival, take time to explore this quaint village, famous for its picturesque surroundings and rich history.
Today, you’ll descend from Kagbeni to Tatopani, experiencing a drop in elevation of 1,604 meters (5,262 feet). This scenic drive takes you through lush valleys and terraced fields, showcasing the diverse landscapes of the region. As you wind your way down, enjoy views of the Kali Gandaki River and the surrounding hills.
Upon reaching Tatopani, known for its natural hot springs, take some time to relax and rejuvenate. The serene atmosphere and stunning scenery make it the perfect place to unwind after your journey.
Today, you’ll drive from Tatopani to Pokhara, descending 373 meters (1,224 feet). This scenic journey takes you through picturesque landscapes, featuring terraced fields, charming villages, and lush forests.
