“After spending 15 days in Everest Base Camp Trek, I have to congratulate Pasang and the team of Mountain Sherpa Trekking for their services.
I was a solo traveler but Pasang took care of me in Kathmandu picking me up on my arrival, helping me with all the arrangements (change money, rent equipment) and taking care of me after my trip once I had to come back to the airport. Great Service!

Just made my fourth trip with this company, and they are like family: they share their culture, their views, their homes and their knowledge. With Mountain Sherpa, I have the flexibility to make changes. For example, this year I decided I wanted to take a helicopter from Bupsa to Packding in order to give myself two extra days in the Glacier Lakes area. My guide called Pasang and arranged for a helicopter to pick us up the next morning. The flight was stunning and added a new dimension to my travels. As an added plus, my guide and porter know how to balance conversation and wordlessness which allowed a peaceful flavor to settle around the beauty of the peaks as we made our way to the Glacier Lakes. This company and their staff create a perfect fit: flexible, knowledgeable and capable. I can't thank the enough for the goals achieved and the wonderful memories I flew home with.

“Amazing Everest base camp”

We did some looking around before deciding on going to base camp with Mountain Sherpa, and we are glad we did. We decided on them because of the price, communication and the fact that they are local - so our money wasn't going to the bottom line of a big company and we got the personal touch we were looking for. Our trip was customised to suit the flight dates that we had already booked in advance, and Sumba managed everything for us, including changing Lukla flight dates a couple of times to give us some more like in Kathmandu before our trek and having the amend bookings as one of our party got sick before we left Australia and had to drop out.
Communication with Sumba was always prompt and effective but still relaxed and friendly. The guides and porters that Sumba organised for us (Lhakpa, Pemba and Nyima) were fantastic: knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and good humoured. 1 of us was struggling with altitude sickness and they were all concerned and looked after him really well. We got up to base camp and back in 2 less days than expected (we came down pretty quickly) and it wasn't an issue to bring our flights back to Kathmandu forward and organise an extra couple of days accom in Kathmandu as well.
Overall an excellent trip - and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Mountain Sherpa to anyone looking to explore the Himalaya.

“24-days. Nepal AND Tibet. More than I expected.”

North American travel agencies only seem to see Nepal as a hiking destination with a token culture layover stop in Kathmandu.
This local travel agency caught my eye online by offering well rounded trips that include hiking, paragliding, rafting, jungle activities and cultural experiences. I was further sold by their fast and reliable communication.
Together, we modified an existing package to suit our dates and even added 8-days in Tibet (highly recommend in late February if it fits your schedule. The only other 'tourists' are Tibetans making sacred pilgrimages)
It's a family run business and we actually got to meet the owner and his brothers. They were on time at every airport transfer and safely got us to each destination.
All you need to do is tell them what you want to do, show up in person, and enjoy yourself.

Annapurna Sanctuary trek- My memory of life time treks in Nepal

Pasang Sherpa and his brother Tandi did a super job leading us on our trip throughout Annapurna. Our experience in Nepal was magical due to their excellent guiding. The trip would not have been the same without their patient and safe presence. I feel that their preparation and expertise allowed us to hike and fully enjoy the beauty region. They are extremely Knowledgeable, about the Himalayas and only used best practices when leading us during the 14 days hike. I whole heartedly recommend Pasang Sherpa and dream of returning to Nepal to hike with Pasang and Tandi again.
