Mr. Mingmar Sherpa is one of the most trusted and respected guides at Mountain Sherpa Trekking — a true hero of the Himalayas. With over 17 years of professional guiding experience, he has earned the deep admiration of clients from around the world for his honesty, warmth, and unwavering dedication.

Born and raised in the village of Taksindu (2,842 meters) in the lower Solu-Khumbu region, Mingmar grew up in the heart of the Everest region. The mountains are not just his workplace — they are his home. His deep-rooted connection to Sherpa culture instilled in him the values of integrity, hospitality, and responsibility from an early age. For Mingmar, guiding is not simply a profession; it is a lifelong calling.

A fully licensed trekking guide certified by Nepal’s Ministry of Culture, Tourism & Civil Aviation, Mingmar completed an intensive six-week trekking guide course and holds advanced certifications in First Aid, Wilderness Response, and Leadership Training. His strong technical knowledge is matched by calm decision-making and exceptional care for his guests’ safety.

Over the years, Mingmar has led treks across all major regions of Nepal. He has guided the Everest Base Camp trek more than 700 times and completed the Manaslu Circuit over 170 times, along with countless other treks throughout the country. As an experienced climber, he has successfully summited Mera Peak, Lobuche Peak, and Island Peak multiple times.
