After enjoying a healthy local breakfast at our home, we set out for our hiking adventure. Today, we are embarking on a unique hike to explore the areas around Kathmandu Valley. The hike covers a moderate distance of 20 kilometers and takes us through picturesque farmlands and the nearby forest reserve, Shivapuri National Park.

During this hike, you will come across an extraordinary find in the village – an impressive statue of the Hindu god Vishnu dating back to the 5th century! Afterward, we will trek through local farmlands and farms, gradually making our way towards the entrance of Shivapuri National Park. This park, covering an expansive area of 160 square kilometers, awaits our exploration.

Inside the park, we will have the opportunity to leisurely stroll for about 3 hours. The park is a habitat for nearly 300 different bird species, making it a birdwatcher's paradise. Our destination within the park is the peak of Mt. Shivapuri. Here, a hidden Buddhist monastery named Nangi Gompa quietly awaits our discovery.

As we descend from the mountain, our journey continues towards the village of Sundarijal. The trek takes approximately 1 hour, and along the way, you will be treated to stunning views of impressive waterfalls. Following the pipeline trail, we eventually reach our final destination. Here, we will visit a local bazaar and immerse ourselves in the vibrant local culture.

After completing our hike, we will return to Kathmandu via a private car. The journey back typically takes around 1 hour. We will conclude our day with an overnight stay at a local Nepali home, ensuring an authentic and immersive experience.
