Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu
Our representative from Mountain Sherpa Trekking will greet and welcome you upon your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu. They will take you to the hotel and after check-in, you will have the option to rest or visit our office.
We will organize a welcome dinner consisting of authentic and delicious Nepali cuisine with the local cultural program.
Day 02: Sightseeing at Kathmandu and Orientation Program
The second day would be the sightseeing day. The trek leader will give you a brief tour of the city, most of the World Heritage sites. You will enjoy the famous and beautiful Hindu and Buddhist religious places.
You will be taken to most of the World Heritage sites of Kathmandu out of seven on this day. The breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be on us. In the evening, your trek leader will do an orientation session for the trekking. You will also be given with the company trekking gears.
Day 3: Flight to Lukla (2800m / 9186 ft) and Trek to Phakding (2600m / 9186 ft) 3/4 hours walk
Your trekking journey begins on this day with a short flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. You will be dropped at the airport by a private vehicle to catch the flight in the early morning.
After you reach Lukla, your trekking journey to Everest Base camp will start. You will head to Phakding after a quick breakfast. You will be passing through the beautiful Himalayan jungle and several swing bridges to reach Phakding. You will spend your night at Phakding in a tea house.
Day 4: Trek to Namche Bazaar from Phakding (3440m / 11280 ft) 5/6 hours walk
After morning breakfast in Phakding, you will leave for the gateway town of Mount Everest known as Namche Bazaar. You will cross through various high airy thrilling suspension bridges, stupas, and various other religious shrines along with a beautiful and amazing environment.
You will reach the entrance of Sagarmatha National park after crossing the Monjo village. If the weather gets clear, you will be able to have the first glimpse of beautiful Mount Everest from there.
Next, you will descend to Namche Bazar, the gateway of Mount Everest and the beautiful Sherpa village. You can enjoy and witness the amazing and beautiful culture of Tibetan Buddhists. Also, if the weather permits, you can have an amazing view of Mt. Everest and Mt. Lhotse.
Day 5: Hike to Hotel Everest View, Khunde Village, and Return to Namche (5 hours)
Namche is tucked away between two ridges amidst the giant peaks of the Khumbu and has plenty of lodges, tea stores, and souvenir shops. It's a perfect place to spend a day, acclimatizing to the new elevation before going off towards Syangboche.
To acclimatize, you see Khunde Hospital set up by Sir Edmund Hillary, or take a one-hour walk up to the Everest View Hotel over Namche for the sunset view of Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Lhotse, and Everest. We then go to Khumjung where we see a school established by Hillary. We begin our hike after enjoying lunch; by merely passing the course of Khunde.
Additionally, there are excellent views from the National Park Centre and Museum just above the town. After going through our acclimatization drills, we head down to our lodge for some beers & good sleep.
Day 6: Trek to Tengboche from Namche Bazaar (3870m / 12694ft) 4 hours
On the sixth day, you are going to hike to Tengboche village from Namche Bazaar. Tengboche is the earliest Sherpa village in the Khumbu area. The road leads you to Kyangjuma and descends slightly to Dudhkoshi.
You will also walk through the dense forest of rhododendron and birch woods where you are going to see musk deer and Himalayan Thar. Then the road reaches Sansa the Primary intersection to Gokyo valley and Everest Base Camp. You will see the fantastic view of Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Aba Dablam, and Mt. Thamserku on this hiking trail.
Hiking a steep ascent you will reach the famous Tengboche Monastery. It's among the biggest monasteries in the Khumbu area. You will spend the night at a local tea house at Tengboche.
Day 7: Trek to Dingboche from Tengboche (4630m / 14300 ft) Approx 4 hrs
On the 7th day, you will trek to Dingboche from Tengboche. It is the second popular location for acclimatization after Namche Bazaar. You will pass through a beautiful green forest and require a slow climb up into the Pangboche valley.
The Pangboche valley has the maximum settlement during all times of the year. You can have a close view of Mt. Aba Dablam from this place. Walking through the natural scenery, you are going to continue walking into the Pheriche, and then soon you will reach Imja Valley.
At the end of the day, following the final and steepest climb, you will eventually reach Dingboche. You will be spending your night at Dingboche at a Teahouse which would be booked by us.
Day 8: Trek to Nagarjuna Peak and back to Dingboche
This day would be the day to rest and give your bones a breath after regular climbing and descending. But, staying idle is not advised when you are on a trip to Everest base camp; we will be exploring the local village and enjoying the local culture of the Sherpa people.
Also, our guide will take you on a fantastic excursion to Nagarjuna Peak situated at 5100 meters. You will be able to witness and enjoy the eye-catching and incredible views of Mt. Makalu, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Taboche, and Mt. Cho Yu from there.
Day 9: Trek to Lobuche (4940m / 16207 ft)
On the 9th day, we will leave for Lobuche from Dingboche. We will pass through a valley underneath the striking peaks of Cholatse and Tawache on the left side. Next, we turn right and take a steep rise to the foot of the Khumbu Glacier. The tea house in Duglha offers a great variety and delicious food and is considered a fantastic place to have lunch.
The path to reach there is a zigzag and goes up to the glacier's terminal moraine. On the peak of this rise, there are lots of rock cairns, constructed as memorials to many Sherpas who have died while climbing Mt Everest. The route then climbs gently along the glacier, to finally get to the cluster of homes at Lobuche.
Day 10: Trek to Everest Base Camp and back to Gorakshep (5170m)
You will need to start early to reach Everest Base Camp. You will be passing through ice pinnacles and the crevasses of the Khumbu Glacier on this trail. Following a short lunch and break, we take the path to the Everest Base Camp throughout Gorak Shep Lake.
We come throughout the Indian military mountaineers' memorials going straight on our path. You will witness the bright colors of the Mountaineer's tent around the place. Also, you will be able to feel the hardship of climbers who risk their lives and climbs bravely through the Khumbu icefall.
You can enjoy the amazing views of Nuptse, Khumbuste, and Pumori mountains from the base camp. On the return, we can take a greater route to find a grand view of the Khumbu icefall and the road to the South Col. We return to Gorakshep to get a relaxing night.
Day 11: Hike to Kalapatthar (5545m) and back to Pheriche(4280)
Having an early morning tea/coffee, we will be doing our final climbing to Kalapatthar at a height of 5545m. You will be able to witness the panoramic view of Mt. Everest and several other mountain peaks which include some famous mountains as Mt. Pumori, Mt. Lingtren, Mt. Khumbetse, Mt. Nuptse, and Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Thamserku, and a lot more huge peaks.
We will be stopping at several places during our hike to Kalapatthar to click some once-in-a-lifetime wonderful pictures of the mountains. After climbing for several hours, we will reach Kalapatthar. Once you reach the top, you enjoy the beautiful views of the Himalayan range sitting on the Kalapatthar rocks.
After spending some time with the rocks enjoying the views of the mountains covered in white snow, we will descend back to Pheriche. You will be provided with the best quality night stay to relax from the climb to the highest point of this trek.
Day 12: Trek to Namche Bazaar from Pheriche (3440m / 11280ft) 6 to 7 hrs
We will be descending down around 2000 ft on this day. The trail consists of a lot of ups and downs. You will be passing through the forest of beautiful rhododendron flowers beside the hills. Also, you will cross the bridge of the Dudh Koshi river.
We will descend rapidly through the pine forest where you will witness the mountain goats, pheasants, beautiful birds, and different other wild animals of that area. The trail will pass through Sansa and will allow you to enjoy the amazing views of Mt. Ama Dablam, Nuptse, and Thamserku. Following another forest walk, we will finally reach the Namche Bazaar and spend a relaxing night there.
Day 13: Trek to Lukla (2840m / 931ft) Approx 5 hrs
On the 13th day, you will be heading back to Lukla by crossing the Dudh Koshi river via Namche Hill. You will reach Monjo, and after some formalities at the check post of National Park in Monjo, you are going to keep your walk to Phakding.
Enjoying the final day of your trek, you are going to continue your walk till Lukla. Now the most of the paths are of the same level. You may enjoy walking via the forest of beautiful rhododendrons flower and pine woods. Remembering all of the memories that you have made throughout the previous few days, you won't feel when you reached Lukla.
You will be staying overnight at Lukla before flying back to Kathmandu.
Day 14: Fly back to Kathmandu
On the morning of the 14th day, You will take a flight from Lukla to Kathmandu; It would be a thrilling flight over woods, areas, and villages with all the Himalayas on the desktop.
After arrival at Kathmandu, we will transport you to a hotel/resort from the airport where you can relax remembering the beautiful journey you made in the past few days.
Day 15: Reserve Day
That is a contingency day in case of terrible weather to your Lukla-Kathmandu flight or if it gets canceled. You can do a lot of fascinating things in Kathmandu. You can visit the beautiful places of Kathmandu valley or go shopping for souvenirs.
Day 16: Way back to Home
After morning breakfast, our representative and office vehicle will be at your hotel to transfer us to the airport for our connecting flight home.
